Atlanta's Best Local Venues

We asked you on our Instagram what were your favorite venues (and why!)
The most common answer was the Masquerade! With four different stages within its venue, the Masquerade is home to so many different genres of music, so many different kinds of people, and so much history. But what do you need to know when attending a show here?
First up is parking! The red markings show the top three best parking lots to enter the Masquerade. The one closest to the venue is called “Underground Deck A” and is directly connected to the Masquerade. This is your best shot! Cheap, easy, and safe parking for the win.
The other two lots shown are fairly close as well but require just a bit more of a walk to the venue and don’t have a nice direct connection. 46 Wall St. SE parking is pretty common to Underground Atlanta concert-goers but get there early because the closer it gets to the start time of a big show, the more expensive parking will be!
As for food, the Altar (one of their newest venues) serves up food most nights for concert-goers! Be sure to check out the Masquerade on Instagram weekly to find out what food they’re serving and when they’ll be open!
Some of the other honorable mentions include,
You all loved this venue because of its well-organized and spatially aware layout! (plus the bathroom is right there… good feng shui!)
You all got quite local, very fast! The South Bend Commons, to put it shortly, is a community hub in Atlanta. They host a variety of things besides just DIY music shows. The local crowd of Atlanta thrives here and they are most known for their dedication to “radical social transformation,” (as per their website).
you all loved the Tabernacle because, well, it just doesn’t get any better! this one makes sense because of how historical and well-loved of a venue the Tabernacle is.
These two were tied! Most people stated they loved these venues (both located in Little 5 Points!) because of the easy viewing from any angle in the crowd. Plus, Java Lords was honorably mentioned as a great place to get coffee before waiting in the long lines! (I can attest to this, one of my favorite coffee shops!)
